So one of my good buddies just came back from there and said its basically the old baylor program with a facelift and a bunch more money.  Apparently the old baylor chair (grossman who won the Cushing award) is now the chair at methodist.  I have an interview scheduled later this month at the program and I wanted to see if any one else had any other opinions about this place before I decide to go or not.  Here is what I’ve been told

-Basically Baylor’s old faculty
-~3000 cases/yr
- Good epilepsy, functional, spine, and endovascular case load
-weak open vasucular and trauma… decent tumor
-peds thru Texas childrens (which I am assuming is good)

Any other thoughts/fact/news?  How will this program be viewed in the academic world given the fact that it is “new” yet has academic guys like grossman behind it?

Thanks!
