Why do you think the above list is unbelievable?  One man’s trash might be another man’s treasure.

I hope you are right, but I also wonder if some students don’t fully understand the way the match process works, and rank programs they think they have a better shot at higher than more “renowned” institutions they would rather be at.

First, keep those lists coming (I assume/hope we’ll see more after match day)!
Second, here are the number of #1 ranks reported last year, compared to this year thus far… thoughts?

Now that we’re 1.5 weeks out, I think we may have reached our rank list maximum. Although it’s true some may revisit and add/reveal their lists after match, I don’t think we’ll get that much more—as a 2010 group, we may be a more reserved bunch or just less UH-inclined. I met a lot of people on the trail who had made it a policy to not visit here or post at all.

But almost everybody posts their match.

There are clearly many more folks who follow than those who post--just look at the number of page views for some of the recent posts.

I don’t think the number of thread views are of unique users, nor are they all applicants from the 2009-2010 interview season.

(bump) maybe we’ll get some more lists after today?
