In what way is Wisconsin desperate? Just because they quickly extend some interviews implies desperation could be one of the more absurd claims I have seen on this board.

I don’t think you can infer any desperation by that.  I got early invites from several programs that are definitely not starving for good applicants.  Other places hadn’t even downloaded my ERAS documents in October.  It just depends on when the PD et al feel like reading applications.
