how many sub-i’s to do?

Does it hurt you if you have only done one away sub-I (in addition to one at your home program)?  Most places seem to be booked up now, so a second sub-I may not happen.  Thoughts?

There are 90+ programs out there and I’m sure they’re not all booked up.  I think it’d be better to do well at 3 sub-Is than to do well at 2, but at the same time I doubt that would make or break your application.

only doing one away rotation will never hurt you in the application process.  i think it puts you at a distinct disadvantage because 1) it automatically puts you behind the people who have done more rotations, and 2) you have less perspective.  perspective is important when generating your rank list.  if you don’t know what’s out there, you will be blindly ranking programs (which i guess is what most people do anyway).

it will never be a red flag, though.
