Anyone know when SF Match is planning to post the 2008 stats?

I emailed them on Jan 30 asking them when the stats will be released and here is their reply:

“It is in the process of completion, please check back in a week or two.

Why could SFMatch get Ophtho match statistics out in less than a week, but take a month to get NSGY statistics out?

Buncha boneheads.

It’s probably a way of punishing neurosurgeons for going to NRMP.

It hasn’t been a month. Neurosurgery results were released 11 days after the match.

That person was referring to the fact that it had already been two weeks when SFMatch was contacted and they responded that it would be about two more weeks. Two weeks + two weeks = four weeks = 1 month

so what you’re saying is that I could contact SFmatch about the ‘09 match statistics now and get pissed at them because it will be 51 weeks + 1 week after the match?  that sounds like it’s getting close to something I could sue for and get free money for!  I even bet it would hold up in court…

The stats provided by SF are pretty much useless.  It will be great next year to see the stats as NRMP publishes them (i.e. we will then know the number of matched applicants with specific board scores).  That a few nsg applicants have ridiculously high board scores argues strongly that the mode step1 score is lower than the average of 236.
